Project Officer (Counter Trafficking) (P2)

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is hiring a Project Officer (Counter Trafficking) to join their field team in Burkina Faso. The successful candidates will monitor specific aspects and phases of project management, including reporting and implementation of project activities. Additionally he/she will supervise relevant staff; assign duties and tasks in line with the project goals and staff skills and capacities. Among the duties of the Project Officer is also to implement the national framework against TIP. Support a coordinated national approach on Counter Trafficking, organize working groups with key stakeholders to coordinate TIP cases, including a National Referral Mechanism, and maintain contact with the governmental and non-governmental relevant bodies. Experience in project management, with a specific focus on counter-trafficking, protection and assistance to vulnerable people is required to apply for this position. The successful applicants will have a Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Law, Human Rights, International Affairs, Migration Studies or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Fluency in English and Arabic is required. The application deadline is November 7, 2016.

Programme Coordinator (Geneva, P-2)

He/She will coordinate the overall Programme/Portfolio work plan development and implementation according to programme document “Syrian Women in the Lead for Peace and Democracy – Women’s Advisory Board”. Additionally the successful candidate will gather and compile all information necessary for monitoring and reporting on programmes and projects from the planning to the evaluation stages. The tasks of this position additionally include to coordinate development and preparation of financial resources of the Programme including budgeting and budget revisions, and expenditure tracking and reporting. She/He will have a Master’s degree in public administration, gender equality, management, social sciences or other related areas. At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the international level in managing complex and multi-component programme interventions with national partners are required to apply for this position.
