Project Development Officer

IOM is hiring a qualified Project Development Officer located in Bangladesh. He/She will assess potential programme opportunities and projects, draft project proposals and concept notes in the areas of interest to the IOM Dhaka, and review project reports, fact sheets and other documents in coordination with relevant program units. Additionally the successful candidate will provide inputs and regularly update and share tools that allow the mission to keep track and speed up project development, endorsement, project code issuance etc. in close coordination with Regional Office and relevant units of HQs. Also the successful candidate will conduct desk research and prepare background information to support programme and project proposals. She/He will have a Master ’ s degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Political Science, Business or Public Administration or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Experience in the areas of migration management, humanitarian service delivery and information management and Demonstrated experience in development, implementation, analysis and evaluation of coordination and information Management activities are required to apply for this position. Programme Officer (GFMD Support Unit)

IOM is hiring a qualified Programme Officer (GFMD Support Unit) located in Geneva. He/She will coordinate the development and implementation of the GFMD Communication Plan, including the use and management of social media tools, periodic newsletters and other relevant communications. Among the duties of this position is furthermore to administrator, gather, prepare and send out official communications of the GFMD using appropriate GFMD institutional email accounts and, where applicable, post these on the GFMD web portal and relevant social media platforms; coordinate SU efforts to ensure, to the extent possible, receipt of each official communication by the Friends of the Forum. Also the successful candidate will ensure that the database of GFMD Focal Points, GFMD Experts and other relevant contacts is maintained and kept up to date. She/He will have a Master ’ s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Development Studies, Communications, Migration or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Experience in project development, implementation and management and Experience in liaising with government actors on national and international level are required to apply for this position.
