Assistant Professor, Human Rights Institute and Department of History

The Human Rights Institute and Department of History at the University of Connecticut-Storrs is currently accepting applications for an Assistant Professor position. The individual will have both teaching and research responsibilities and receive a salary and benefits as a part of the university’s compensation program. To be considered for the position, applicants must have a doctoral degree in history or a closely-related field. A strong research background related to the history of human rights since 1700 is also required. In addition, applicants must have previous teaching experience and have the ability to develop undergraduate courses related to their areas of specialization. The Assistant Professor will receive the new Goldstein Family Community Chair, which has a term of 5 years and is renewable. Compensation and benefits will be awarded based on experience and the current salary guidelines of the university, and the professorship is tenure track.
