Human Rights Officer

The UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office is accepting applications for a position as Human Rights Officer located in Geneva. Programme Officer, Mine Action Service

UN DPKO is offering a position as Programme Officer, Mine Action Service based in New York. Among the duties of this position is to monitor political developments and report obligations, including those mandated by the Security Council and General Assembly, which pertain to areas of responsibility. Additionally the successful candidate will research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources related to assigned programmes/projects and countries. Also the successful candidate will assist in policy development, including the review and the analysis of issues and trends, preparation of evaluations or other research activities and studies. She/He will have a proven expertise in participation of programme development, implementation and evaluation and understands principles of activity based accounting and reporting in response to specific donor requirements, shows the ability to develop and adjust a cash flow for a project, assess financial risks and develop measures to manage and mitigate risks. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration or related area are required to apply for this position.
