Middle East and North Africa Division Associate

Human Rights Watch is hiring a qualified Middle East and North Africa Division Associate located in New York, NY (United States). He/She will maintain communication among HRW offices, global staff, and external partners. Additionally the successful candidate will prepare, draft, edit, format, and distribute materials such as news releases, reports, tables, charts, briefing papers, op eds, publications and web content. The successful applicant will also assist the senior staff of the Division with research by monitoring news, gathering electronic clippings, and coordinating wires and translations. She/He will have a bachelor’s degree in human rights, international relations, or a related field. A minimum of one year of relevant work experience are required to apply for this position. To apply for this position fluency is required in English. Proficiency in one or more regional languages (Arabic, Persian, or Hebrew) is strongly preferred. The deadline for this vacancy is 19. Liaison Officer

UNOPS is hiring a qualified Liaison Officer located in Abyei , Sudan. He/She will ensure UNMAS – military demining platoon operations are coordinated and that Force Protection Requirements are satisfactorily fulfilled. The main duties of this vacancy also include to accompany Ops/QA staff to the field and serve as an intermediary between the military demining platoon and UNMAS, as needed. Also the successful candidate will create and manage Ahmaric social media accounts for UNMAS (e.g. Twitter, Facebook). She/He will have an Advanced University Degree (Masters Degree or equivalent) in Political Science, International relations, International Development or a related subject with minimum of 2 years experience. Minimum one year experience in capacity development and/or community liaison work and one year experience in English-Amharic/Amharic-English translation and/or interpretation are required to apply for this position. Research Associate, Research and Investigations

Physicians for Human Rights is offering a position as Research Associate, Research and Investigations located in New York, NY. He/She will research and document the human rights situation in areas covered by the research & investigations team, specifically conducting Arabic-language open-source research on attacks on health care in Syria. The successful candidate will also assist in the organization of research and maintain methodological adherence. The tasks of this position additionally include to draft objective and accurate briefing papers, op-eds, letters, press releases and other reports as directed. She/He will have a Bachelor’s degree.
