Protection Assistant (UNOPS), Bangkok

UNOPS is hiring a qualified Protection Assistant (UNOPS), Bangkok situated in Bangkok, Thailand. He/She will develop, manage and implement Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) prevention, response and referral systems through, inter alia, regular SGBV awareness raising, sensitization, advocacy and training activities with community SGBV focal persons, community leaders and governmental and non-governmental service providers. Additionally the successful candidate will develop, improve and coordinate livelihood projects for POCs in cooperation with NGOs and refugee communities. The successful applicant will also report monthly on developments and statistics concerning SGBV and Child Protection with an analysis of the context and mechanisms to enhance effective protection/solutions, as well as support overall internal and external reporting. She/He will have a University degree in social work, sociology, political science, human rights, law or other related fields. Prior experience (ideally in the Thai/South East Asia context) in addressing issues of overall social/legal protection, SGBV, Child Protection, human rights, legal and related activities/functions are required to apply for this position. Emergency Officer, NO-B, Tartous, Syria

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Emergency Officer, NO-B, Tartous, Syria located in Syrian Arab Republic. He/She will provides professional assistance in risk analysis to identify emergency-prone conditions/situations and contribute to early warning and timely emergency preparedness. Additionally the successful candidate will Assists in the formulation of plans of action in preparation and response to emergencies. Gathers information on best practices in emergency situations for the preparation of contingency plans. Monitors compliance of all sectors with emergency plans of action. Also the successful candidate will Identifies formal and informal sources of information. Collects, interprets and analyses all available data on the evolving emergency situation and its implications to the emergency operation. Child Poverty, Gender, and Social Inclusion Officer, NO-1 (only for nationals of China)

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Child Poverty, Gender, and Social Inclusion Officer, NO-1 (only for nationals of China) located in Beijing. He/She will collect and analyse data on the overall socio-political-economic trends and their implications, and specifically on the multiple dimensions of child poverty, social exclusion and gender equality. Among the duties of this position is furthermore to provide technical inputs to child poverty project development and management, including formulating project documents, contributing to meetings and policy dialogues, and providing advisory support to the field operation. The tasks of this position additionally include to monitor and evaluate programmes to support partners in effective implementation and funding utilization. She/He will have a Master’s level university degree in Social Sciences, International Relations, Government, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Policy, Social Development, Community Development, Gender Studies or other relevant disciplines. Academic credentials in gender are a strong asset. At least two years of professional working experience in child poverty and gender are required to apply for this position.
