Child Protection Specialist, P-3

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Child Protection Specialist, P-3 in various destinations. He/She will support the preparation/design and conduct/update of rights-based situation analyses for the child protection programmes and/or sector to ensure that current comprehensive and evidence-based data on child protection issues are available to guide UNICEF’s strategic policy advocacy, intervention and development efforts on child protection and to set programme priorities, strategies, design and implementation plans. She/He will have an Advanced university degree in social sciences or other relevant field(s), preferably in International Development, Public Policy, Human Rights/Law, Sociology, Social Work/Social Welfare. A minimum of five years of professional work experience at national and international levels in child protection or related areas are required to apply for this position. Communication for Development Specialist

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Communication for Development Specialist located in various destinations. He/She will design, manage, and facilitate the implementation of the programme communication strategy, policy, plan of action and activities for strategic communication and promotion of social and behavioural change. Additionally the successful candidate will organize the research, development and production of culturally-relevant communication materials. Also the successful candidate will provide technical support to government counterparts and other partners on the development and strategic use of communication for social development. She/He will have an Advanced university degree in the social/behavioral sciences, (Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology, Health, and Education) with emphasis on strategic communication planning for behavior development, social mobilization, participatory communication, and research. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible relevant professional work experience in the development, planning and management of social development programmes, with practical experience in the adaptation and application of communication planning processes to specific programmes are required to apply for this position. Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Specialist

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Specialist located in various destinations. Among the duties of this position is to ensure that the Country Office and national partners use a well-prioritized and realistic plan of research, monitoring and evaluation activities that will provide the most relevant and strategic information to manage the Country Programme, including tracking and assessing UNICEF’s distinct contribution. Additionally the successful candidate will ensure that the Country Office and national partners have timely and accurate measurement of change in conditions at the national and sub-national levels, including both monitoring of socio-economic trends and the country’s wider policy and economic context, as well as through sectorally specific management information systems (e.g. Health MIS, Education MIS).  She/He will have an Advanced university degree in evaluation, research methods, social sciences, economics, public health, statistics or another technical field with a strong background in research methods. A minimum of five years of relevant professional work experience, showing at least 2 years involvement with social data monitoring and performance monitoring, and 2 years involvement in conducting and managing evaluation and research projects and programmes are required to apply for this position.
