Additionally, the Policy Officer will be required to work along with the Policy Manager for formulating the policy framework for the next three years. The right applicant will have a post-graduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. international development or women’s rights). Additionally, the applicant must have demonstrated significant experience in policy/advocacy in the UK and must have worked with an NGO that focuses on women’s rights and development. In addition to having good communication skills, the candidate should have demonstrated excellent organization and project management skills. The candidate must be IT literate and fluent in English and it is desirable to have a good knowledge of French and / or Arabic. Women’s Learning Partnerships has created vacancies for 11 Researchers in the field of Family Law. The 11 Researchers will be posted in 11 different countries in the Global South for undertaking a three-year research project whose outcome will help to develop effective strategies in combating gender based violence in the home and within the family. Each researcher will follow a case study based approach to come up with results that will help to lead a global campaign against discriminatory laws against women in the family. Applicants must have a graduate degree in a related field (e.g. Human Rights Law, Family Law), extensive research experience, and excellent writing skills in English. The research will be undertaken from 1 May 2016 to 1 February 2017. Oxfam’s London office requires an Advisor who will provide leadership to drive projects that focus to promote gender justice and human rights. The role will require the adviser to liaison with external stakeholders for providing program support. Additionally, the adviser will be required to mentor and coach the subordinates stationed in different regions and working at all levels. The candidate must help in driving campaigns for understanding relevant issues in fragile and conflict-ridden areas. Additionally, the incumbent will provide support for raising funds to organize programs on women’s rights and gender justice in conflict-ridden countries. The candidate must have a detailed knowledge of the factors which affect gender inequalities in various countries. The applicant must have a postgraduate qualification in gender or related field of study or equivalent practical experience. Excellent analytical and critical thinking will be required to drive successful campaigns. Applicants who have undertaken research in the field of Gender and Development will have added advantage. The candidate must have demonstrated practical experience in developing and delivering relevant programs in fragile or conflict affected. It is desirable to have knowledge of French, Spanish or Arabic. The candidate must be willing to travel up to 2 months per year. The position will report to Senior Gender Advisor.
