Intern Projects
The IOM Country Office in Brussels (Belgium) has an opening for an intern who will develop and implement projects related to the areas of migration and development, vulnerable migrant groups, counter-trafficking, and unaccompanied migrant children. The candidate will provide support to the Project Coordinator and various focal points responsible for the implementation of different projects. Additionally, the intern will be required to provide support to the Chief of Mission. The candidate will be coordinating with the Belgian and Luxembourgish government authorities and will conduct research and analysis of the Belgian government’s institutional and policy frameworks. .The applicant must have a good knowledge of European institutions and policy in the field of migration. It is essential to have excellent knowledge of spoken and written English and a working knowledge of French, Spanish and/or Dutch is highly desirable. Applicants with previous work experience or internship will have an added advantage. The applicant must be computer literate and must have demonstrated strong organizational skills. The applicant must be a good team player and must have the ability to coordinate with professionals from different cultural backgrounds. The applicant must be good at multitasking and prioritizing the work. The duration of assignment is 6 months and the last date of application submission is 17th April 2016

Intern Programmes Implementation
The IOM Regional office in Brussels has an opening for an Intern who will assist in the implementation of programs on Migration and Development. The intern will develop communication material, assist in research and provide general administrative support. The applicant must have a University degree in European Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or Law. It is desirable to have experience of one or more of the six African, Caribbean and Pacific group of states (ACP). Applicants with previous work experience will have an added advantage. The candidate must be able to understand the organizational structure along with various departments. Ability to understand the Organization’s structure and portfolios; Ability The candidate must be a good team player and must have the ability to work with team members from varied cultural and professional backgrounds. The applicant must have demonstrated the ability to produce accurate and high quality work accurately within the stipulated deadlines. The applicant must be fluent in Portuguese, English and French. English and it will be an asset to have knowledge of Dutch and/or Spanish. The duration of assignment is 6 months and the last date of application submission is 17th April 2016

Intern Migration Policy and Research
IOM RO Brussels is seeking an intern who will working in the subject area of Migration Policy and Research. The intern will support the external stakeholders who are responsible for developing IOM’s policy and project-related cooperation. Additionally, the intern will be required to undertake research and analysis of current affairs and initiatives. The intern will assist in the preparation and submission of project proposals and reports to EU institutions in addition to providing secretarial and administrative support to the Head of Unit. The applicant must have a University degree in European Studies, International Relations, Political Science, or Law. Applicants having a sound knowledge of European institutions and policy in the fields of migration, development and foreign affairs will have an added advantage. It is desirable to have a good knowledge about EU financing rules and procedures. Previous work experience would be a distinct advantage. The applicant must be a good team player and must have strong organizational skills. The applicant must be able to deliver quality work in a deadline driven environment. The candidate must have an excellent knowledge of spoken and written English. It is desirable to have knowledge of Dutch, French and/or Spanish.
