Emergency Response Officer

The Danish Refugee Council is now looking for someone to fill the position of the Emergency Response Officer for the area of South Sudan. This role is responsible for conducting rapid needs assessments in new areas of intervention in South Sudan, supervise emergency response and outreach activities, set up data collection mechanisms, contribute and promote peaceful interaction and dialogue and liaise and coordinate with the DRC Country Safety Advisor and Area NGO safety advisors. The right candidate will have a degree in disaster management, humanities or social sciences, have at least two years experience in humanitarian or emergency response work, as well as a minimum of two years experience in displacement settings. The candidate will also need to be able to work under pressure, have excellent computing and reporting skills. Speaking Arabic or any other South Sudanese local language will be an asset.

Junior Legal Officer

Democracy Reporting International is now hiring a junior legal officer for their Ukrainian office. In this role, the employee will conduct legal research and analyze the draft of laws, review and report on the status of documents relevant to the project (such as drafted laws and committee reports), and prepare relevant parliamentary documents and internal reports. The right applicant will have a university degree in law, political science, international relations or another related field. They must have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role, with some experience with writing, editing and summarizing complex legal documents, experience working with think tanks or NGOs in the past, and fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian.

Project Officer of Research And Analysis Team

The Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies is now hiring a project officer to join their research and analysis team in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The role will require in-depth desk research to prepare for conflict analyses, analysis and synthesis of data collected during field research, designing and carrying out CPCS strategic interventions into violent conflicts and writing and editing research and analysis publications. To be eligible for this role, the applicant must have a degree in peace and conflict studies, conflict transformation or another related field with a minimum of two years practical experience in the aforementioned tasks.

      Welcome on HRC and thank you for your input. We define jobs with 0-3 years experience entry level following practices of the largest job boards in Human Rights and International Development. The United Nations consider P-2, P-3 positions with 2-5 years experience entry level. If you are a recent graduate you might want to check out the paid internships sections.
