There is an open vacancy with Unicef’s Jordan office as a communication officer. This role will assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating communication within the organization to promote programs and bring attention to children’s and women’s issues. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in communications, journalism, public relations or another related field, as well as two years of practical work experience in communication. A background and familiarity with emergency situations and the political and social context of Jordan will be an asset, as well as experience with the UN. The candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic.
In Unicef’s Jordan office a vacancy has become available as an education specialist. This role will focus primarily on making a lasting difference for children in Syria. The education specialist will contribute to programs that work to help children in Syria by managing and advising the Regional Advisor, networking and building partnerships and assist with program planning and development. To be eligible for this job, the candidate must have an advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or another social science field, as well as a minimum of 8 years experience in program planning and management.
