Senior Child Protection Specialist

Unicef has a new opening in their Senegal location as a senior child protection specialist. This role is about improving the lives of Children in Senegal by putting an end to harmful practices, such as child marriage. Duties also include managing programs and developing each program to get the best results possible. The employee will also network with the community and work to monitor the results of the programs. The right applicant will have an advanced university degree in international development, human rights, psychology or any other social science field, as well as have a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in social development planning. Fluent English and French is required, and knowledge of Portuguese or Spanish will be beneficial.

Communication Officer

There is an open vacancy with Unicef’s Jordan office as a communication officer. This role will assist in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating communication within the organization to promote programs and bring attention to children’s and women’s issues. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in communications, journalism, public relations or another related field, as well as two years of practical work experience in communication. A background and familiarity with emergency situations and the political and social context of Jordan will be an asset, as well as experience with the UN. The candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic.

Education Specialist

In Unicef’s Jordan office a vacancy has become available as an education specialist. This role will focus primarily on making a lasting difference for children in Syria. The education specialist will contribute to programs that work to help children in Syria by managing and advising the Regional Advisor, networking and building partnerships and assist with program planning and development. To be eligible for this job, the candidate must have an advanced university degree in education, economics, psychology, sociology or another social science field, as well as a minimum of 8 years experience in program planning and management. The applicant must be fluent in English, but knowledge of another UN language is beneficial. The application for this position closes 7 April.
