Associate Refugee Status Determination Officer

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is offering a position as Associate Refugee Status Determination Officer based in MENA. He/She will assist in the development of the RSD strategy of the operation and in the annual planning exercise. Additionally the successful candidate will assist in the supervision and oversight of RSD and RSD-related activities to promote full compliance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Also the successful candidate will maintain accurate and up-to date records and data related to all work on individual cases. Eligible candidates must hold a University degree (Bachelor or Master) in either Law or Political Sciences or International Relations. A minimum of 2 years of relevant job experience at professional level for applicants with Master degree are required to apply for this position. Child Protection Officer P-2

UNICEF is offering a position as Child Protection Officer P-2 based in Jordan. He/She will conduct/update situation analysis for the program sector/s for development, design and management of child protection related programs/projects. Additionally the successful candidate will contribute to the development/establishment of sectoral program goals, objectives and strategies and results-based planning through research, collection, analysis and reporting of child protection and other related information for development planning and priority and goal setting. Also the successful candidate will prepare required program documentations/materials/data to facilitate the program review and approval process. She/He will have an University Degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or other social science field. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child protection and/other related areas at the international and/or in a developing country are required to apply for this position. Reports Officer

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Reports Officer located in China. The main duties of this vacancy include to work with programme sections in the preparation of high quality funding proposals and donor reports by standardizing formats, contents and ensuring adherence to donor requirements. Provide quality assurance of reports and proposals. Among the duties of this position is furthermore to conduct research and develop advocacy and fundraising information for UNICEF National Committees, government and other donors, including supportive Situation Analysis documents. Also the successful candidate will provide training and technical assistance, as required, to programme staff to improve the overall quality and consistency proposals and reports. Eligible candidates must hold an advanced University degree (Master’s) in social sciences, communications or other related field. A minimum of (2) years of relevant professional work experience in communication, report writing, research, fundraising, monitoring or other related areas are required to apply for this position. Communication Officer

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Communication Officer located in N’Djamena, Chad. He/She will support the Strategic Communication Unit to engage with mass media through activities such as organizing visits to project sites, facilitating photo coverage and TV footage, and utilizing both web-based, social media and traditional media as appropriate to generate and maintain public interest in children and humanitarian issues. Additionally the successful candidate will in close collaboration with strategic partners facilitate the promotion of children’s rights in the media. Also the successful candidate will ensure that inputs needed from UNICEF on humanitarian public information notes / UNOCHA Situation Reports are produced and delivered on time. She/He will have a University degree in Communications, International Relations, Public Relations, Social/Human Sciences or other related field. At least two years of relevant work experience.
