Project Officer

UNICEF is hiring a qualified Project Officer located in Copenhagen. He/She designs, prepares, implements, monitors and evaluates assigned programme or specific project(s) from a supply perspective. Analyses and evaluates data to ensure achievement of objectives and/or takes corrective action when necessary to meet project objectives.  Furthermore he or she assists in the preparation of project proposals / outlines and other programme documents, as required, in coordination with colleagues from Programme Division, Country Offices and external partners. The successful applicant also contributes to the development of appropriate communication and information strategy to support the projects. She/He will have a completed 1st University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree) in business administration, commerce, law or related technical field is required. A minimum 2 years progressively responsible work experience relevant to project management and procurement is required. are needed to qualify for this vacancy. Adviser on Civil Society Relations

OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights is accepting applications for the position as Adviser on Civil Society Relations based in Warsaw. Among the duties of this position is providing advice and analysis on issues related to civil society relations and recommending interventions to the ODIHR management. Additionally the successful candidate will work in developing, reviewing and managing projects aimed at raising the awareness of civil society on issues related to tolerance and non-discrimination and increasing their capacity to monitor, respond to and report on hate crimes and other forms of intolerance. Also the successful candidate will design and deliver  training seminars for civil society on tolerance and non-discrimination issues She/He will have a University degree, preferably in international relations, political science, social sciences, law or other disciplines related to human rights. A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience at national and international levels in the human rights field are required to apply for this position. To apply for this position fluency is required in English; working knowledge of Russian is desirable. The deadline for this vacancy is 4. August 2016.

Human Rights Officer

OHCHR is offering a position as Human Rights Officer located in Kiev. He/She will coordinate and supervise the human rights monitoring, documentation, analysis and reporting work carried out by a team within the given area of responsibility. Additionally the successful candidate will research, collect, document and analyse information pertaining to the human rights situation in the area of assignment and ensure follow-up activities as necessary, including in respect of appropriate fact-finding methods and evidence gathering activities. Also the successful candidate will provide advice and guidance on substantive human rights issues as relevant to the mission’s work in the geographic area of assignment. Eligible candidates must hold an advanced university degree in law, social/political science, international relations or other disciplines related to human rights. A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in the promotion and protection of human rights and related areas, including in monitoring, reporting, investigation and advocacy at the field level are required to apply for this position. Child Protection Officer

DPKO is hiring a qualified Child Protection Officer located in Baghdad. He/She will identify the protection needs of children in the mission area, and assist the Head of Mission (HOM) in devising the mission strategy for the implementation of the child protection mandate in line with the DPKO/DFS/DPA Child Protection policy. Additionally the successful candidate will work with other UN mission components, including political, gender, humanitarian coordination, and human rights to integrate a child conscious approach in their work. The tasks of this position additionally include to mainstream child protection concerns into the work of the mission, provide training on child rights and child protection to all relevant personnel, in coordination with other relevant sections and UN entities. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) preferably in law, political science, international relations or related field. A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international levels in the human rights field, including juvenile justice, political affairs, international relations, international child protection standards are required to apply for this position.
