Education in Emergencies Advisor
Save the Children has a temporary full-time vacancy for an Education in Emergencies Advisor in Athens, Greece. This role has the responsibility of overseeing several response educational program interventions. The specific duties of the Education in Emergencies Advisor include being a technical lead to all programs, providing technical support to field level Education Managers, ensuring quality control throughout the entire process of implementing programs, and training new staff from a variety of levels. At least 5 years of working experience in Education in Emergencies with a focus on the first phase emergency response is required as well as experience in program management, preparing funding proposals, applying standards in education, proper representation and advocacy of the Save the Children foundation. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Fluency in Greek, Arabic, or Farsi is desired. The duration of this contract is 6 months. Humanitarian Programme Manager
Save the Children is hiring a full-time Humanitarian Programme Manager in Myanmar. The role of the Humanitarian Programme Manager is to take the lead role in SC’s emergency response programs. The duties of this position are to provide quality control, guide response solutions, ensure the safety of the staff, as well as representing Save the Children in a positive manner for interagency advocacy. A master’s degree in Human Rights, Humanitarianism, or any relevant field, is required to be considered for this position. Equivalent relevant work experience will be taken as a substitute to education level. Prior experience in working in program management, first phase emergency response, budget and grant management, as well as a minimum of 5 years’ experience in Humanitarian program design and management is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is required. Experience in designing and managing DFID and OFDA projects or in consortia projects would be an advantage. Chief of Child Protection
UNICEF is looking for a fixed team member as a Chief of Child Protection in Cote D’Ivoire. The Chief is responsible for overseeing every stage of child protection projects, all the way from program design to its implementation. The duties of this role include developing, monitoring, and planning programs, managerial leadership and ensuring quality control, advising others and providing technical support, contributing to capacity and knowledge building, as well as advocating to build new partnerships with other agencies. A master’s degree in Human Rights, Psychology, International Development, or a relevant field is required, as well as a minimum of 8 years’ working experience in social development planning in the field of child programming. Fluency in written and spoken English and French is required for this position. Knowledge of another UN language would be an advantage. Deadline to apply for this position is April 29, 2016.

Child Protection Specialist
UNICEF has a vacancy for a Child Protection Specialist in Nigeria, Africa. The purpose of the Child Protection Specialist role is to contribute to every step of Child Protection programs. The main duties of this position include contributing to the design and implementation of new programs, as well as evaluating previous programs to ensure quality control. The Child Protection Specialist must be able to promote inter-agency partnerships and advocate for a variety of programs. Candidate must have an advanced degree in Human Rights, Law, Social Science, or any relevant field is required to be considered. A minimum of 5 years’ of working experience in child protection with a focus on both national and international levels is required, as well experience in working in the field of IP or NO. Common technical knowledge is required. Fluency in written and spoken English and another UN language is required for IP. Fluency in English and the language at the duty station is required for NO.
