Human Rights Officer (DPKO)

She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field. A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law or related area are required to apply for this position. Human Rights Officer (OHCHR)

The Office Of The High Commissioner For Human Rights is offering a position as Human Rights Officer based in Geneva. He/She will develop, review and update methodological tools, guidelines, procedures and reference materials on human rights screening for use by recruiting entities and information providers under the Policy on Human Rights Screening of UN Personnel. Among the duties of this position is furthermore to assist in consolidating and analysing information on candidates, and in ensuring accuracy of content, coherence and consistency with OHCHR methodology. Human Rights Officer (OHCHR)

The Office Of The High Commissioner For Human Rights is looking for a qualified Human Rights Officer in Geneva. He or she plans and coordinates activities related to gender integration in OHCHR, both in its structure, culture and processes and in the implementation of its six thematic priorities, based on the Office Gender equality policy and strategic plans. The tasks of this position additionally include to collect and monitor data and indicators related to the implementation of the Gender equality strategic plan. The sucessfull candidate provides support and technical advice to regional gender advisers, gender facilitators and gender focal points in the field. Also the successful candidate prepares reports, background materials and other relevant documents for the Secretary-General, High Commissioner and the Secretariat, including the annual OHCHR report on the UN System-wide Action Plan on Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related area.
