The Office Of The High Commissioner For Human Rights is offering a position as Associate Human Rights Officer based in Geneva, Switzerland. He/She will organize seminars, workshops or other events promoting the linkages between the various issues and human rights and participate in relevant conferences and meetings organized inside and outside the United Nations. Additionally the successful candidate will provide substantive support and expertise to related OHCHR-wide activities and discussions including for field presences on the various thematic issues. Also the successful candidate will undertake research and analysis on thematic issues under the responsibility of the Section from a human rights perspective and prepare reports, briefing notes and other documents on these questions. Eligible candidates must hold an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in human rights, public or international law, political science or international relations. At least two years of progressively responsible work experience at national and international levels in human rights are required to apply for this position. The Office For The Coordination Of Humanitarian Affairs is looking for a qualified Associate Humanitarian Affairs Officer (TJO) based in Riyadh. He/She will establish and maintain regular communication channels with the Evacuation and Humanitarian Operation Cell (EHOC). Additionally the successful candidate will regularly update and share the database of the “no strike list” with relevant parties engaged in the Yemen conflict. Furthermore among the duties of this position is to research, analyze and present information gathered from diverse sources on assigned topics/issues. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in political science, social science, international studies, public administration, economics, engineering, earth sciences or a related field. A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency preparedness, crisis/emergency relief management, rehabilitation, development, or related area are required to apply for this position.
