Human Rights Watch is offering a position as NYU School of Law Fellow located in Washington DC and New York. He/She will typically work full-time for one year in Human Rights Watch’s New York or Washington, D.C. office. In some instances other locations may be considered. The Fellowship begins in September 2017. Fellows monitor human rights developments in various countries, conduct on-site investigations, draft reports on human rights conditions, and engage in advocacy and media outreach aimed at publicizing and curtailing human rights violations. The salary for 2017-2018 fellows is US $55,000, plus excellent employer-paid benefits. Only 2017 J.D. graduates of New York University School of Law and recent J.D. graduates who would begin the fellowship immediately upon completion of a judicial clerkship are eligible to apply. LL.Ms are not eligible. To apply for this position fluency is required in English. The deadline for this vacancy is 8. October 2016.
