Advocacy Intern

Save the Children is hiring a qualified Advocacy Intern located in Geneva, Switzerland.. He/She will attend and report on relevant meetings in Geneva, including, amongst others, meetings of the Human Rights Council, IOM, OHCHR, OCHA, UNHCR and WHO. Among the duties of this position is furthermore to support the organization of advocacy meetings, events and panel discussions. Also the successful candidate will develop, maintain and update information databases (such as hotel lists, consultants lists, conference centres and contact lists in permanent missions, UN agencies and civil society). She/He will have a Ongoing Master’s level studies in a relevant field, in particular international humanitarian and human rights law, global health and/or international relations. An understanding of the advocacy/policy environment of the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, particularly the Human Rights Council, IOM, OCHA, OHCHR, UNHCR and/or WHO are required to apply for this position. To apply for this position fluency is required in English and French. The associate will be paid a pro rata allowance equivalent to a full time salary of CHF 1’000 per month rising to CHF 2,000 per month after successful completion of three months in the role.
