Associate Resettlement Officer

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) is hiring a qualified Associate Resettlement Officer located in Goré. Chad. He/She will stay abreast of political, legal, social and economic developments that have an impact on the protection environment. Additionally the successful candidate will assist in implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for promoting the resettlement of persons of concern as protection tool and durable solution in the context of comprehensive solution strategies. Also the successful candidate will assist in promoting and monitoring the implementation of UNHCR’s global resettlement policies, procedures and guidelines. She/He will have a University degree in international law, international relations, political science, social sciences or related fields of discipline. At least 4 years (2 years with Advanced University degree) of professional work experience relevant to refugee protection work). are required to apply for this position. Communication Officer

The United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) is hiring a qualified Communication Officer located in New York, USA. He/She will work with country and regional offices to source and create content for ICON in support of UNICEF`s programming and policy initiatives globally. Additionally the successful candidate will work with UNICEF offices to source, develop and disseminate, through internal digital platforms, case studies, best practices and other knowledge sharing documents on key organizational priorities and issues. Also the successful candidate will support the production and distribution of multimedia materials, such as videos, infographics and factographs, for internal communication purposes. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s) in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or a directly related field(s). A minimum of (3) three years of progressive, relevant professional work experience in communication including designing multimedia solutions for a communications unit are required to apply for this position. Programme Officer (Protection/CCCM)

The  International Organization for Migration (IOM) is hiring a qualified Programme Officer (Protection/CCCM) based in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He/She will support the Humanitarian Response Coordinator in formal and informal meetings to maintain a frequent dialogue with the donors and partner agencies on a regular basis and to ensure donor relations remain strong to address any concerns or problems. Additionally the successful candidate will participate actively in inter-agency protection fora (protection cluster, child-protection cluster, Gender Based Violence, intercluster.) and durable solution fora; monitor and follow up on the integration of CCCM assistance with protection and the return activities. Also the successful candidate will assist the Humanitarian Response Coordinator in developing/updating CCCM response strategies and action plans for the CCCM working group. Contribute to the integration of priority cross-cutting issues in CCCM activities such as protection and GBV mainstreaming as well as accountability to affected population. She/He will have a aster’s degree in Political, Social Sciences, Social Work or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience. Experience in the field of migration and IDPs assistance and protection and Understanding of complex social-political environments are required to apply for this position.
