JPO – UNRWA Associate Protection Advocacy Officer

(UN Relief Agency for Palestine (UNRWA) is hiring a qualified JPO – UNRWA Associate Protection Advocacy Officer located in Beirut, Lebanon. He/She will build capacity of staff, particularly within the Protection Unit, and strengthen their data collection, reporting and protection response tools and methods. Additionally the successful candidate will review/analyse data on protection issues to extrapolate relevant information, identify trends and develop adequate responses. Also the successful candidate will prepare reports, presentations and briefings for internal and external stakeholders and respond to information requests. She/He will have a Master’s degree related to human rights preferably in law, political affairs, social science or development studies. Two years of relevant experience including proven experience in human rights, humanitarian and international advocacy work including at least one year of field work is required to apply for this position. JPO – Adolescent & Youth Development Analyst

UNFPA is offering a position as JPO – Adolescent & Youth Development Analyst based in East Jerusalem, Palestine. Among the duties of this position is to provide programmatic and operational support to the Adolescent and Youth (A&Y) projects and activities. The successful candidate will also assist with the annual target setting, and ensure accurate inputs to the year-end reporting on results. Among the duties of this position is supporting national institutions and NGOs in their efforts to end violence against women and girls. The tasks of this position additionally include gender Mainstreaming and support to the design and implementation of gender responsive public policies in several sectors.
