Associate Human Rights Officer, P2

The Office Of The High Commissioner for Human Rights is hiring a qualified Associate Human Rights Officer, P2 located in Geneva, Switzerland. He/She researches and collects information pertaining to human rights matters, related to national human rights institutions (NHRIs) including their gender dimensions and assists in the analysis of information. Additionally the successful candidate drafts a variety of reports and correspondence relating to human rights matters. Also the successful candidate participates in hearings and consultations and prepares summaries of results. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent degree) law, political science, international relations, social sciences or related field. A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law or related area are required to apply for this position. Programme Analyst, Sustainable Development Goals

UN Women is offering a position as Programme Analyst, Sustainable Development Goals based in New York, USA. He/She will organize meetings of the Steering Committee, prepare reports and ensure adequate follow-up. Additionally the successful candidate will update the web portal and ensure that information on the implementation of the programme is publicly accessible and serve as the knowledge management focal point. Also the successful candidate will provide support to the implementation of the programme’s procurement plan, by undertaking request for proposals (RFP) processes for the print design, web design, and printing contracts for the project, as well as for the contract management for consultants, liaising with HR to prepare Terms of Reference and requesting contracts for consultants; and monitoring the budget. She/He will have a Master degree (or equivalent) in development related disciplines, gender, economics, statistics, development or other social science fields. A minimum of 2 years of experience, relevant experience, particularly in providing operational support and/or supporting research and policy analysis related to gender equality and women’s rights are required to apply for this position.
