The Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights is hiring 3 qualified Associate Human Rights Officers located in Geneva. They will assist in the preparation of and participating in SPT country visits. Additionally the successful candidates will research, collect and analyze information pertaining to human rights issues, in particular in relation to torture and forms of slavery, including from a gender perspective, from a variety of data sources. Also the successful candidates will, as required, undertake assignments related to the work of the Human Rights Treaty Bodies with respect to the State reporting procedures, petitions procedures, visits or other activities. They will have a first-level university degree in law, political science or international relations or related field, preferably with a specialization in human rights. A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in human rights, political affairs, international relations, law or related area are required to apply for this position.
