How to Write a Resume is an online course offered by the State University of New York. During the course, students learn how to create an impressive resume to submit when looking for employment or applying for post-secondary education programs. Each week during the four-week course of study, students learn about a different aspect of resume writing. As a part of the class, students develop their own resumes, making changes every week as they learn more. At the end, the resume is submitted for a final grade. The course includes the following modules: Introduction to Resumes; The Foundation of your Resume: A Self-Inventory; Writing Content for Your Resume; Piecing it all Together: Organization, Structure, Format; Know your Industry; Best-Practices for your Resume from an Employer; and Frequently Asked Questions.
