Human Rights Research and Advocacy Intern

Currently, Chronic Kidney Disease is a prevalent condition in Central America. Many cases of this disease have been linked to the working conditions on sugarcane farms, and this full-time internship seeks to provide aid and research to a Chinandega, Nicaragua legal team who are working to target these injustices. This unpaid position will ideally start on May 2 and continue for at least three months, though the start and end dates are flexible. The requirements for the position are a professional knowledge of English and Spanish, enrollment in Law school (or the possession of an equivalent degree), and experience with legal research. Upon completion of their work, interns will receive a letter of recommendation. The application deadline is April 29.

Summer Human Rights Legal Intern

Though based out of San Francisco, House Comar works to support and protect human rights worldwide, by monitoring government involvement and researching potentially unjust litigation. The Legal Intern will work full-time, primarily performing research and drafting documents, though other tasks may be required. All work will be unpaid, though House Comar will work with the Intern to help secure outside funding. The internship runs from May 1 to July 22, and the application deadline is April 1. In order to qualify, applicants must be currently enrolled in a Law programme.

Summer 2016 Civil and Human Rights Internship

The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights is a Washington, DC based operation that aims to improve and support the development of human rights in the United States. Their full-time summer internship will provide the opportunity for undergraduate students from all areas of study to engage with their community in a positive and fulfilling way. Tasks will include writing blogs, attending hearings, monitoring media output, and providing research support. Interns will receive a daily stipend for food and travel expenses. The internship will begin on May 23, and run until August 12. Applications must be received by April 1.
