Human Rights Watch is currently in search of a qualified individual to work as an Associate in their General Counsel office in New York City, New York, United States. A permanent position, the job pays a starting salary of $45,150 per year and includes full benefits.

The Associate will be responsible for handling the scheduling and work flow for the attorneys in the General Counsel office and for performing a number of administrative tasks. Additionally, the individual will conduct research on the subject of human rights and human rights law and be responsible for drafting correspondence and submitting legal applications.

To be considered for the Associate position, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in any field. Candidates who have 1 to 2 years of previous experience working in a legal office or in another type of position that involves extensive research will be given preference. Highly experienced applicants may receive a higher initial salary offer.
