In the upcoming months, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is delighted to offer two online training programmes and one 5-day field visit to Geneva. These will provide participants with access and a first-hand experience of the United Nations.
The Young Leaders Online Training Programme runs from 1 – 26 March 2021 on UNITAR´s e-Learning platform. The four-week course includes online modules, live-webinars and e-workshops with UN experts as well as virtual guided tours through UN premises.
This unique training opportunity will give you direct access to the UN´s institutions and staff, offering opportunities to build up your knowledge and skills related to the United Nations and unfold your potential as a young global leader.
The Young Leaders Online Training Programme is open to university students, high school students and other aspiring young leaders of similar background. Junior professionals from the public and private sector are equally welcome to apply.
Full professionals and other participants with a similar interest in experiencing the United Nations are also invited to join the UN Online Immersion Programme. This two-week course runs from 5 – 16 April 2021 and is more intense and more centred on career-development.
Both online training programmes are ideal to gain an overview of the UN’s activities, including building up knowledge and skills on the United Nations System, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), conference diplomacy, negotiation skills and information sessions on entry points to one day work at the United Nations yourself.
Lastly, UNITAR is also delighted to offer the UN Immersion Programme, its first 5-day field visit to Geneva since last summer. Implemented from 29 March – 2 April 2021, it will allow face-to-face training for a limited amount of participants under strict health precautions.
There is also the option to sign up for the UN Immersion Programme Premium Package, which includes both field visit and the Young Leaders Online Training Programme as a preparation to the face-to-face training in Geneva.
