Applications are now open for the UN Dubai Immersion Programme, a 5-day experiential training delivered by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR). The programme will take place in person in Dubai.
This inaugural edition focuses on the theme “Humanitarian Action and Innovation.” Participants will explore how cutting-edge technologies, forward-looking policies, and multilateral cooperation are reshaping humanitarian response and sustainable development. The programme combines expert-led sessions with senior representatives from UN OCHA, UNDP, and WFP, providing insights into humanitarian coordination, innovation in crisis settings, and the role of international institutions.
Participants will also take part in institutional visits to key hubs in Dubai, including the Dubai Humanitarian City (DHC), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Museum of the Future, and the Dubai Future Foundation, gaining a first-hand understanding of how emerging technologies and partnerships are addressing global challenges.
Career development sessions will support participants in identifying professional pathways within international organizations and the humanitarian sector. A maximum of 30 participants will be accepted. Limited scholarships are available.
