UNODC – United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime is hiring an Intern located in Vienna. He/she undertakes extensive and comprehensive legal research on issues concerning organized crime with particular reference to article 5, 10, 11, 15, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27 of the Organized Crime Convention, and render relevant assistance in arranging background documents including presentations, and summaries. He/She must always succesfully upload necessary documents especially those related to laws and case laws to the SHERLOC Knowledge Management Portal, while rendering unhindered assistance in the review of legal documents concerning organized crime, and also taking an active part in the preparation of Inter-governmental meetings and conferences which require he/she taking relevant notes during proceedings. Eligible candidates must complete an online application, stating their ongoing or completed degree programmes and graduation date, including past work experience if any, outlining any IT skills, and mentioning three(3) references. A degree in the field of law or a related area is required, preferably with specialization in criminal law. Academic training and/or a keen demonstrated interest in cybercrime/cybersecurity is an asset. Applicants must also be computer literate in standard software applications. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. Fluency in English is required, while knowledge of Russian language is an added advantage. Deadline for applicants is on 21 July 2016.
