The Master of Arts in Gender and Social Justice Studies at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada, is offered through the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies in the Faculty of Arts. The programme is available as a 12-month course-based degree or a 24-month thesis-based degree. Course-based students complete a minimum of 24 units of coursework including a capping portfolio, while thesis-based students complete a minimum of 18 units plus a thesis.
