Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking Technologist, Research and Investigations

Human Rights Watch (HRW)is seeking a Technologist for the Program Department in one of the major office areas. Applicants may be forwarded until this position has been filled.

Incumbents will be a critical thinker who can grow into the role of acquiring, storing, and processing data analysis relevant to human rights investigations.

This may include but is not limited to working with other HRW teams and building software and other tools useful in sourcing information and producing effective automation strategies.

Qualified incumbents will possess combined level of education and experience to enable useful contributions to HRW investigations.

Proven experience in developing acquisition and management tools for investigative research processes is required.

Candidates should be fluent in the English language.

Must be able to demonstrate fluency in programming languages and knowledge of database manipulation and command line tools. Research and development of automated research collection tools is expected.
