Master of Human Rights and Democratisation Scholarship

The Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies at Mahidol University in Thailand covers reimbursement of travel of up to EUR 700 to EUR 1,400, depending on how far students travel. There are stipulations on what, specifically, travel reimbursement covers, such as it only pays for travel in the Asia Pacific region, and it does not cover visa application fees.

The scholarship covers 12 months of university tuition fees, education and student services fees, and the Internet and health insurance fees during the first semester at Mahidol University. Additionally, the scholarship provides a living allowance of about EUR 500 for the 12-month period of the scholarship.

It is important to note that this amount may not be enough to cover all of a student’s living expenses. The scholarship also provides an allowance of EUR 500 for the research thesis. This covers editing, binding, and page layout. The scholarship doesn’t provide funds for overseas fieldwork costs.
