Open Society Foundation is recruiting an Associate Legal Officer

The Open Society Foundation in London is accepting applications for an Associate Legal Officer for National Security and Counter-terrorism, reporting to the Director, Accountability, Liberty and Transparency Division, until June 6, 2019.

Position will be based in London, New York, or Berlin and requires extensive travel.

Essential responsibilities of the role include conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and storing documentation regarding human rights violations in accordance with current NSC policies.

Ongoing monitoring and reporting of multiple situations is required. Candidates will work independently and within a team focused on strategic planning.

This position requires a law degree, acceptance to bar, and proven experience and progressive responsibility within the area of human rights.

Candidates must be proficient in the English language on a written and oral level and proficiency in at least one other language is preferred.
