UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2017 (Fully Funded)

This fully funded opportunity covers flight arrangements and will cover the participants’ transportation (economy class) as well as accommodation costs (non-smoking rooms) including meals during their stay in Poland and including visa fees, where applicable.

The World Heritage Committee of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) is inviting applications for the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2017, a program that provides young people with the opportunity to examine issues related to cutural heritage and network with one another. Participants are accepted from 35 countries and have the chance to visit world heritage sites in Poland. During the forum, participants are given the opportunity to assist with restorations and gain hands-on experience.

To be considered for the UNESCO World Heritage Young Professionals Forum 2017, applicants must be between the ages of 22 and 32 years. In addition, applicants must either be from one of the 21 Member States of the World Heritage Committee or from Belarus, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Germany, Hungary, India, Iran, Iraq, Lithuania, Mali, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Syria and Ukraine. A college degree or work experience in architecture, urban planning, art history, archaeology, cultural heritage, anthropology, communications, economics, history, law, tourism, geography or international relations is also required.
