University of Pretoria Centre for Human Rights offers 25 fully funded Scholarships for African students

The University of Pretoria, South Africa, Faculty of Law, in conjunction with 12 universities has opened a call for applicants for the Masters Degree in Human Rights and the Democratisation of Africa.

This intensive one year course consists of a six month training at the University of Pretoria and a six month training at a partner university.

Scholars will be taught through practical experience and lectures facilitated by industry experts in this unique programme, the only one of its kind in Africa. Successful graduates are awarded membership in the HRDA Alumni Association.

Scholars are eligible based on two different criteria, the LLM option for law students and the MPhil option for non-law students.

Applicants should demonstrate experience or interest in human rights and democratisation efforts and maintain superior academic records. Application deadline is 30 June 2019; minorities are encouraged to apply. Full scholarships are available for 25 African students.
