Deadline 3. May 2019

Description

The program will run from June 10, 2019 to June 14, 2019 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Penn Law Global Institute for Human Rights offers an immersive, one-week course of study aimed at undergraduate and graduate students, from all over the world, passionate about a career in human rights advocacy, or just looking to enhance their awareness of current and emerging human rights issues. The Institute is unique compared to traditional academic studies of human rights, as the focus of this program is on bringing working human rights advocates from around the world to the table to share their knowledge, experiences, and career paths with the next generation of human rights advocates.

The 2019 Institute will be held from June 10-14, 2019. The first four days of the program will take place at Penn Law, a highly selective law school that sits on the Ivy League campus of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, and the final day of the Institute will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. All students who complete the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 Institute. Additionally, Penn Law is offering two full-tuition scholarships to eligible students, as well as a limited amount of financial aid to qualified applicants.
