LSE offers a summer programme which runs in July 2019 and will give you a thorough introduction to several aspects of human rights. The course begins by introducing how the general idea of human rights came into existence starting with ancient Greece and moving through different historical epochs such as Enlightenment. You will also study the structures and standards that govern international human rights law and be introduced to modern international law. From an international perspective, you will examine the range of legal instruments and standards that have developed in relation to human rights.
