Additionally the successful candidate will gather and compile all information necessary for monitoring and reporting on programmes and projects from the planning to the evaluation stages. The tasks of this position additionally include to coordinate development and preparation of financial resources of the Programme including budgeting and budget revisions, and expenditure tracking and reporting. She/He will have a Master’s degree in public administration, gender equality, management, social sciences or other related areas. At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience at the international level in managing complex and multi-component programme interventions with national partners are required to apply for this position. Associate Human Rights Officer (Geneva, P-2)

He/She will undertake research and analysis on thematic issues under the responsibility of the Section from a human rights perspective and prepare reports, briefing notes and other documents on these questions. Additionally the successful candidate will provide substantive support and expertise to related OHCHR-wide activities and discussions including for field presences on the above-mention thematic issues. Furthermore among the duties of this position is to organize seminars, workshops or other events promoting the linkages between the above-mentioned issues and human rights and participate in relevant conferences and meetings organized inside and outside the United Nations. She/He will have an advanced university degree (Masters or equivalent) in human rights, public or international law, political science or international relations. At least two years of progressively responsible work experience at national and international levels in human rights are needed to qualify for this vacancy.
