SRHRL Internship (paid)
The Scientific Responsibility, Human Rights, and Law program (SRHRL) is hiring an intern for Fall 2016. The intern will work next to AAAS with a variety of projects. The responsibilities of this internship include helping to prepare proposals, organizing meetings, participating in research, attending conferences and writing for the newsletter, and contributing to publications. SRHRL interns are paid, however, the internship program does not pay for housing and travel expenses. All candidates should have a strong academic background and will be considered under any field of study. Anyone studying for a graduate or undergraduate degree will be eligible to apply along with post-graduates and law students. Interns are expected to work at least four days a week with a minimum of 32 hours a week. The expected durations of this position is 10 – 12 weeks.


  • Winter/Spring Internships – November 15

American Red Cross Internship Program (paid)
The American Red Cross is hiring interns until all positions are filled. This internship program is a great opportunity for everyone who seeks to get a better understanding of the mission of the American Red Cross. Interns will participate in development programs, professional and career development workshops and activities, as well as social activities and outings. Interns will gain substantial professional experience and develop a comprehensive perspective on the American Red Cross. The successful interns must be studying a graduate or undergraduate degree in any field.  Students must apply for specific internship roles upon application.

UNICEF Internship
UNICEF is seeking qualified, professional students to enabling them to acquire real life learning experience at their Headquarters (HQ) and Country Offices (CO). The interns will work under UNICEF staff in positions such as Child Protection, Emergencies, Education, HIV/AIDS, Human Rights, Communication for Development and Early Childhood Development. The candidate is required to be enrolled in a graduate degree (Master’s) or an undergraduate degree (Bachelors). He/She must have completed a minimum of two years of full-time studies towards a degree. He/She must be fluent in the working language of the location and proficient in English, Spanish or French. The duration of this position is 6 – 16 weeks, but extension up to 6 months is possible. The deadline for the UNICEF Internship programme is between 1 November 2016 and 30 September 2017.
