UKMIS Press and Public Affairs Intern

UKMIS (UK Mission to the United Nations) is offering a paid internship position as Press and Public Affairs Intern based in Switzerland. The internship will offer insight into the public diplomacy work of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the opportunity to learn about the UK’s work on a range of issues that include human rights, humanitarian assistance, trade and health issues. The work is both challenging and rewarding. The UKMIS Team often works under time pressure in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a University degree in the field of media, communications, journalism, public relations or information management, or have practical experience. A background interest in human rights, international relations, political science, or other relevant disciplines is desirable. To apply for this position fluency is required in English. French is an asset. The deadline for this vacancy is 5. February 2017. The starting salary of this position is 1,250 CHF per month.

UNSSC Internships (2x)

United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) is offering a position as Intern located in Bonn, Germany and Turin, Italy. He/She will apply her/his skills in supporting the activities of the UN Leadership Team. S/he will gain understanding of the UN’s work and the development of learning programmes for UN personnel. The incumbent will report to various Course Coordinators and contribute to the design, development, promotion, coordination, delivery and evaluation of learning programmes. She/He will currently be enrolled in a Master’s or in a Ph.D. programme OR be enrolled in the final year of a Bachelor’s programme OR be within one year after graduation from a Bachelor’s, Master’ s or Ph.D. programme. Previous work experience is not required, however experience in training event activities, experience with learning technologies and social media and working in an international environment would be an asset. The interns receive a monthly stipend of 450€ per month.
