Gender Expert (UNESCO, P-3)
unescoUNESCO is offering a vacancy for a Gender Expert for the Regional Office for Southern Africa in Lilongwe, Malawi.  The Gender Expert will coordinate activities with a focus on gender, supervise technical assistance, contribute to capacity building, monitor and evaluate project efforts, report on project outcomes, review activities with a gender-based perspective, and carry out a variety of tasks that are deemed necessary by the office team. A Masters degree or equivalent in gender studies, social science, education, or any relevant field is required for this position. The desired candidate will have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 7 years’ experience in building knowledge gender issues in TVET. S/he will also have at least 4 years experience in implementing relevant programs in Africa. Previous experience with UN or EU agencies is highly desirable. S/he will be expected to be fluent in written and spoken English with great communication and inter-personal skills. Communications Specialist (UNICEF, P-3)

Human Rights Officer (OHCHR, P-3)

The responsibilities of the Human Rights Officer position include monitoring the human rights situation globally, assist in fact finding missions, drafting mission reports, preparing correspondence, drafting annual reports and spoken presentations for those reports, liaising with officers and representatives, leading new staff members, and carrying out other tasks as needed. A Masters Degree in law, international relations, or any other human rights related field is required. A lower level degree will be accepted if paired with at least two years of relevent experience. The desired candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a position of responsibility in the field of human rights. Fluency in written and spoken English is required for this role.
