Visual Communications/Design Intern
The Institute for Policy is offering a vacancy for a Visual Communications/Design Intern for their Next Leaders Summer Program in Washington DC, USA. The purpose of this internship is to further the knowledge and experience of the candidate creating digital content by using IPS’s research on a variety of real-life crises situations. The intern will work with the communications department to provide assistance on a variety of tasks familiarize themselves with IPS’s core issues. The intern will have the opportunity to take part in workshop events, receive individualized mentorship, and take part in revolutionary collation labs. Interns will be expected to design visual informational content, as well as newsletters and content for social media platforms. It is preferred that the Intern is enrolled in a university degree program in a relevant field. Interns will be paid $11.50 an hour, 30 hours weekly, and they must be available Monday through Thursday from June 6, 2016, to August 11, 2016. The institute is looking to fill this internship position as soon as possible.

Law Clerk Intern
The Workers Defense Project (WDP) is looking for a Law Clerk Intern in Texas, USA. The role of the Law Clerk Intern is to help workers file administrative claims, conduct in legal research for WDP cases, assist in the development of employment and immigration cases, and provide assistance for any task that is required of the office. The desired candidate has an interest in law, a strong commitment to social justice, and the ability to work comfortably with a variety of groups. Law students who have just finished their first or second year with a university degree are preferred for candidacy. The intern must be available to work 40 hours a week, which can sometimes include nights and weekends. This position is a 8 to 10-week long commitment. Law clerks will receive a weekly stipend of $150.  Applicants must be fluent in written and spoken Spanish. This position will begin on May 1, 2016, and end August 31, 2016. Human Resource Intern
Medecines Sans Frontierers (MSF) or “Doctors without Borders” has a vacancy for a paid Human Resource Intern in New York City, USA. The Human Resource Intern will report to the HR department while learning practical knowledge by assisting the organization with administrative tasks. The intern will have the opportunity to participate the implementation of major HR programs and receive practical experience in Human Resource administration in non-profit organizations. The intern will be involved in activities that include project implementation, payroll, benefits, updating the HRIS, preparing briefing and debriefing packages, providing data entry, and assisting in various tasks that are required of the office. The candidate must have strong computer skills and have a serious interest in administration or HR. Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement. Proficiency in French would be an advantage. The intern will receive a weekly stipend of $10 an hour at 20 hours a week. The duration of this internship is 6 months. Field Services Intern
GLSEN has a vacancy for a paid Field Services Intern in New York City, USA. The role of the Field Services Internship is to assist in the implementation of GLSEN programs on a local level, support the logistics of sponsored events, provide administrative support as well as technical support for the website, manage and support the recruitment of new volunteers, respond to requests in GLSEN chapters, and attend scheduled events and meetings to gain practical knowledge. Public Justice Foundation has a vacancy for a Communications Intern for the Summer 2016 program in Washington DC, USA. The overall role of the intern is to provide assistance throughout all communication and outsourcing projects related to Public Justice’s advocacy work.
